I consider all humanity my brothers and sisters and would never wish harm on any well-intentioned soul including the Palestinians but sometimes there seems there is no antidote to ignorance and intolerance. The Palestinians are poor, uneducated or rather “miseducated” and have been the willing victims of their profiteering leaders like Arafat and are easily manipulated by the Arabic Powers in the region. While Arafat bamboozled them for profit to accumulate wealth and in return let the Arab world use them politically as human fodder against the Jews, the Palestinians continue to live in squalor with little to no aid coming from their Islamic brothers. The US gives more aid to the Palestinians than their Arab brethren. My goal here with the help of Mr. David Horowitz, is to see if we can add some intelligence and context to this unfortunate situation.
Paraphrased From the David Horowitz speech at USC:
“There is no occupation. They are colossal liars. That’s not Arab land, the Arabs have not controlled the land on which Israel exist for a 1000 years. For 400 years from the 16th century until 1920 that land was controlled by the Turks who are not Arabs… though they are Muslims. Turkey lost that, it was the Ottoman empire. They lost it because they sided with the Germans during the first World War and according to the laws of war to the victor go the spoils and the French and the English carved it up. So they say that Israel is a colonial. Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, they were all created out of the Ottoman empire by the British and French imperialists.
There was a Palestine mandate. Where does the word Palestine come from? Philistine. It’s not an Arab word even. The Romans gave it when they destroyed the Jews. Some Jews had a very bad idea in 66 AD to go up against the Roman Empire. they were slaughtered a million were killed, and were dispersed, and the Romans wanting to stick it to them gave their homeland which is the west bank. Judea and Sumeria…that’s the homeland of the Jews. They [The Roman Empire] gave it the name of the Jew’s enemies the Philistines. The Philistines were Greek Sailors. That’s where Palestine comes from.”
So you can see that the “occupation” is a complete fiction propagated by our uneducated news media and the Arab world. What is true is that there is a Nazi crusade to eliminate all non-Muslim people from the middle east. That’s why there’s no peace in the middle east.

I would prefer not to turn this into a back and forth about the Israel/Palestine issue so I will try and be brief. First off, your assertion that the Palestinians are “uneducated” or “miseducated” is simply wrong. I have been to the occupied West Bank and met people with a much higher degree of education than many people here in the United States. This notion that they are “miseducated” or “uneducated” is all part of the effort to dehumanize the Palestinian people and make them seem like backwards primitive people. Now I do agree with you when it comes to explotation of the Palestinian people and their cause by both Arafat and the Arab world. They have been used for decades as a pawn by these powerful Western puppets which are installed through out the Middle East. More emphasis needs to be placed on this fact. The “squalor” that you mentioned is the direct result of both Arab intransigence as well as the complete control of Palestine by Israel. All I mean here is that you present a very one sided argument where it is all the Arabs fault. You miss that it is a combination of Israel/America/Arab states.
Now as for David Horowitz I would never take the word of a racist warmonger to mean anything. Your comment that “I consider all humanity my brothers and sisters and would never wish harm on any well-intentioned soul including the Palestinians but sometimes there seems there is no antidote to ignorance and intolerance.” is extremely disingenuous when you go and quote a despicable man such as Horowitz. Horowitz makes the claim that there is no occupation. Well I would suggest that he and you visit either the West Bank or Gaza and honestly tell me that there is no occupation going on. The Palestinians have no freedom of movement, there land air and sea borders are controlled by Israel, nothing can go in and out with with out the say so of Israel, and furthermore settler enclaves such as those in Hebron have “Jewish only streets”. Horowitz makes the claim that there is no Palestine because it was controlled by the Ottoman Empire; well than that would mean that Israel doesn’t exist due to the fact that the Ottomans controlled it prior to the creation of the state of Israel. This idea that the Romans gave Judea and Samaria to the Jews therefore it belongs to them is also a ridiculous argument. An imperial power such as the Romans “giving them their homeland” makes about as much sense as America giving the Indians reservations. What right did the Romans have whatsoever in giving out anything? Horowitz instead goes back to a period of history that has little bearing on reality to make his ultimate claim that there is nothing wrong with Israel occupying another people, and to espouse his idea that the Nazi’s have been reborn as Muslims who want to rid the world of Jews and Christians.
I think you should broaden your horizons to sources aside from racists such as Horowitz. Now that doesn’t mean that you should take my word or the Palestinians, but if you really all humanity your brothers and sisters perhaps you shouldn’t be listening to a right wing racist who preaches hate.
