As Tuesday Night kicked off Chuck was in a bad mood. The constant coverage and ridiculous treatment of mass shootings in the USA and the ready-made mass distraction of the MSM are in full swing. Are you dumb enough to think video games cause mass shooting events?
Is there Racism in America? How much is Donald Elitist scumbag Trump responsible for White Supremacist violence? Are guns a real issue? Who gets to decide who is, and is not mentally ill? What in the hell is the matter with people? Has everyone lost their minds? Is violence built into the human character?
How many Vulture-like media figures are there? Are Trump supporters the REAL AL CAEDA? Will the rest of the planet forgive the level of stupid the United States has reached? Chuck is angry behind enemy lines. Are you not entertained?
How many walking jokes are there on one DNC debate stage? Violence as a reality along with racism as a thing is never addressed with any honesty and we wonder why they continue to hinder the general population’s progress. The MSM is awful and Conspiracy culture is past the level of toxic every time something bleeds and leads the game of headlines.

This week my sister Emma joined me to discuss Brady Corbet’s latest film Vox Lux, which tells the story of a young girl Celeste surviving a school shooting and becoming a pop star. We started by discussing the film itself and it’s interesting narrative structure. We also touched on some of the flaws in the film. We then moved onto the main plot points and themes in the film. Emma and I discussed the role that pop music plays in our lives and how trauma and tragedy connects to it. We touched on 9/11 which plays a role throughout the film. We talked about the emptiness that personifies a lot of pop music, and the toll that takes on Celeste throughout her life. Emma talked about the “character” that a pop star has to play in public and the absence of a private self. Later we discussed the lack of a message in the movie and why this is actually a good thing. We focused on the need for many audience members to be told exactly what to think when watching a film. We touched on the phenomenon of mass shootings which often times lacks a message or meaning. Emma and I also discussed the idea that this film takes place in an alternate reality where Celeste and the school shooting exists, thus altering the course of music history. We ended by breaking down the final reveal of the film.
TV Reality Stars Gone Wild ? Porkins takes the first hour as we slog through the alleged alt. media and the strange ways people will flip their positions to serve emotional stupidity. How exhausted is everyone from the news cycles? Does anyone consider the total effect of mass shootings like the most recent one in Florida ? Does the MSM only get motivated when it is white faces crying for their cameras? By The Way what the hell is that noise outside Redmond’s window? Who in their right mind floats banks deciding if you can have a gun? Is the violence built in to the American culture something that can never be removed? Second hour the News Vandal himself JP Sottile joins us to add much needed perspective. After Chuck jokes about JP showing up every 28 Days or so we get into it. On this solo show I discuss the Vegas Shooting and Stephen Paddock. I start off by talking about the Vegas Police and their track record as being unprofessional and trigger happy. The allegations that the police didn’t help evacuate the concert, and that the cover up my stem from their failures are explored. I then begin laying out the facts as we know them about the shooting, Paddock and Marilou Danley. I look into the ever changing narrative, including the latest development regarding hotel security guard Jesus Campos. Then I explore Stephen Paddock and try to make sense of who he was. I look at the reports that he was a mean loner type person, as well as an avid gun enthusiast. I pay particular attention to his obsessive gambling habits and the odd life of a compulsive gambler. Later I discuss his girlfriend Marilou Danley and try to make sense of their relationship. The first hour ends with me looking at some of the more interesting points of this investigation including: what happened beginning in October of 2016 and his fathers criminal background.
In the second hour I take a hard look at the media’s role in crafting this story. I explore how both the the mainstream and conspiracy media are working hand in hand in presenting us a confused and contradictory narrative. I talk about how the media is selling us not just the shooting but literally selling us advertisements. I also discuss why the mainstream and conspiracy media enjoy having complete explanations to any event. I finish off by discussing Paddock’s apparent gambling addiction and ponder if this didn’t play a larger role in the shooting. I talk about the lifestyle of gamblers, the problems they face, and how this effects their views on reality. I also touch on the transhumanist aspects of being “one with the machine” that many addicts of video slots embrace. I ask the question if gambling addiction and the casino’s are two big culprits in what transpired on October 1st 2017.
Ed Opperman joins me today for a special PPR podcast on the Las Vegas Shooting. Ed tells us about the night in question, giving us a first hand view of what was happening in Vegas. Ed talks about the unprofessional nature of the Vegas police department. We discuss how this led to massive confusion and many of the early reports of multiple shooters and multiple incidents all over the strip. Ed also touch on Vegas police corruption, their tendency to overreact. We talk about some of the stranger theories that have emerged in the past few days on social media, and try our best to decipher them.
Ed and I also talk about some of the strange details of Stephen Paddock’s life including: his father, gambling practices, and his girlfriend Marilou Danley. We also talk about the need for calm when it comes to situations like this.
I had the great pleasure of once again joining the one and only Chuck Ochelli on his fine radio program The Ochelli Effect.
