Uncle’s New Year’s Revolution 2020

From UncleThePodcast.com

Uncle returns for his second annual live New Year’s Eve special broadcast. This four hour extravaganza took place as the New Year struck each time zone across the continental US. Chuck Ochelli was able to make it to the show as producer just in the nick of time thanks to donations that came in from supporters to replace his old computer that had broken down only a week before. Uncle explained what we learned about 2019. Some good friends of the show called in to let us know what they doing on New Year’s Eve. Robin from Victoria, Bear the Double Rainbow Guy, Penpal Ed, JG Michael, and Pearse Redmond all joined us and brought the party atmosphere to higher and higher levels as the night went on. If you weren’t able to listen or watch the show live, do be sure to go back and watch it later at your convenience. It will stay posted to YouTube, Ochelli.com, and on the Uncle (the podcast) feed. Porkins Policy Radio episode 159 Inside Tesla, Solar City, and Elon Musk with Artisan Loaf

Long time listener and friend Nick aka @ArtisanLoaf joins me this week. We discussed Elon Musk, his various companies, and his strange and often bad business practices. We started off by talking briefly about Musk’s privileged upbringing in South Africa. We talked about Musk’s first big start with PayPal and his business relationship with Peter Thiel. We then moved onto Tesla and the way the company has been run. We discussed the poor business model that the company has employed under the leadership of Musk. Nick talked about the major financial problems that Tesla has had since Musk took over. We also touched on the problems with Musk’s vision for electric cars and the limitations that Tesla has imposed on themselves as a company.

In the second hour we talked about Musk’s shady acquisition of Solar City. We talked about the possible use of fraud when Solar City rolled out their non-existent solar roof panels. We also touched on the conflict of interest involved in Musk acquiring Solar City, and his pattern of similar behavior over the years. Later Nick talked about the recent SEC suit against Musk. He explained the serious problems that Musk has again created for Tesla. We finished off by touching on the concept of Musk as a cut-rate Howard Hughes, and the cult like devotion to Elon Musk and his vision for humanity. Nick will be returning to the show in a few weeks to expand on these ideas.

Porkins Policy Radio episode 154 The end of Alex Jones with Robbie Martin and Jon Gold

This week I discussed the recent banning of Alex Jones on several tech platforms from two different perspectives. In the first hour Robbie Martin joined me to discuss the negative aspects of this. We talked about the dangers of censorship and what this may mean for the future of alternative media. Then we addressed the latest on the ever evolving Qanon saga. Robbie and I inquired how this may be related to the banning of Jones.

In the second hour Jon Gold joined me to talk about why Alex Jones got what he deserved. We discuss why Apple, Facebook, and other companies were justified in banning Jones from using their platforms. Jon discussed Jones’ history as a 9/11 and conspiracy profiteer, and his recent lawsuit against Sandy Hook victims. We talked about the dangers of social media. Jon and I also touched on patriotism in sports and why we, personally, can’t watch football and baseball anymore.

The Ochelli Effect – Interactions Between Organisms

From Ochelli.com

We speak in the first hour with long-time-listener Regular Joe. It is somewhat troublesome to attempt a conversation with a Trump supporter. Joe and family go to the dentist and find that families are strangers next to each other. It is often a good thing to unplug. Joe also gives tips on how to avoid a pointless conversation feedback loop. Social media may be video games designed for people with no skills.

Pearse Redmond, also known as Porkins, appears in the second hour. Chuck and Pearse would both like a ticket back to the real timeline they came from. Is it 1984? Why do right wing celebrities suck? President Trump is exactly the damaged idiot to lead a parade of damaged idiots. Is this why David Bowie was “Afraid of Americans”? After sorting through and separating fake news from filler, it is easy to get exhausted.

Two hours with two friends from the show. We all urge you to be fearless. Big brother is not to be embraced. War is not peace. He who controls the present does control the past. He who controls the past may indeed control the future. Chuck believes we have the option to write it all ourselves or allow others to write and edit it all for us.

Don’t get it twisted!

Porkins Policy Radio episode 72 Member South Park Season 20 with Emma Redmond

Today I am joined by my sister Emma to discuss and dissect season 20 of South Park. We begin by explaining what transpired this season: Mr. Garrison becoming President, Cartman falling love, gender wars, and the dangers of internet trolling. We begin by talking about the “Member Berries” and their devious plot to use the power of nostalgia to elect the Trump like Mr. Garrison. Emma and I discuss the power that nostalgia can have on ones psyche, and how we are constantly manipulated into following certain trends because of it. We then move onto the the issue of trolling which features prominently through out this whole season. We talk about Gerald’s trolling and explore the idea over whether it is in fact ok or funny to troll. Next we talk about the the gender wars that ensue through out South Park and the world at large. We talk about Butters transformation as a men’s rights activist and how this is mirroring society at large. Emma and I also touch on how Butters is schooled in all of this with the help of Bill Clinton.

In the second hour we break down South Park’s portrayal of Trump as Mr. Garrison. We talk about why Matt Stone and Trey Parker decided to use Garrison as a stand in for the president-elect, and if it worked as a statement and as a comic device. We round out the episode by discussing the genius of South Park as a show. We talk about how the series, and this season in particular, manages to show that the true enemy among us is society and ourselves. Emma and I also have a candid discussion on the dangers of horse porn.
