Michael Swanson joined me to discuss the death of cult leader Lyndon LaRouche. We talked about the history of the LaRouche movement and it’s impact on the conspiracy culture. We also touched on LaRouche’s connections with the government and his strange political ideology. Later Michael talked about the decline of the political cult in the age of Qanon.
Writer and filmmaker John Potash joined me to discuss his latest documentary Drugs As Weapons Against Us. We talked about the main thesis behind the film and the original book. We discussed about the CIA’s involvement in the LSD movement in the 1960’s with groups like The Brotherhood of Eternal Love and the Mellon Hitchcock family. John talked about how this connects to the CIA’s MK Ultra program. We touched on how the CIA and their connected groups used LSD to derail and destroy leftist and revolutionary organizations throughout the 60’s and 70’s. John talked about how Students for a Democratic Society was torn apart by the deliberate introduction of LSD to the group. Later we talked about how various government informants pushed the use of cocaine on Black Panthers such as Huey P Newton. John and I also discuss how drugs were used against radical musicians including Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, and Tupac Shakur. We finish off the conversation by looking at the continued legacy of many of these operations. John talks about the work that the Heffter Institute and Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies are doing and their similarities to MK Ultra.
Writer, comedian, and University of Bath teaching fellow, Matthew Alford joined me to discuss his latest book Union Union Jackboot: What Your Media and Professors Don’t Tell You About British Foreign Policy, which we co-authored with TJ Coles. We started off the conversation by discussing the unique structure of the book. Matt and I talked about the perception of British foreign policy we see today in the media. We touch on the brutal legacy the British Empire has had around the world, and take shots at some of the UK’s sacred cows like Winston Churchill. We also discussed why the media, Conservatives, and many in Labour despises Jeremy Corbyn. We talked about the way that Corbyn is perceived, many times incorrectly. Matt also talks about Brexit and why we should never feel sorry for Theresa May. A City Of Angels and it’s connection to corruption make it the perfect place to imagine the militarized Police forces of the future. Nixon and his “Law and Order” BS TV specials were only hinting at the BS TV yet to some.

Pearse Redmond continued the conversation addressing the current disinformation campaigns which merely serve the best interests of the Military Industrial Complex. Is it just about the oil? Friend of the show Hugo Turner joined me this week to discuss Elliot Abrams and his legacy in Central America and role in the Iran-Contra affair. We began by discussing the roots of Iran-Contra and why it is still largely ignored by the media. Hugo discussed the origins of the affair going all the way back to the October Surprise in 1980. We talked about the other events that opened the door into Iran-Contra including the attempted assassination of Contra leader Eden Pastora in Costa Rica. Hugo and I then explored Abrams role in Iran-Contra itself. We also discussed Abrams role in covering up war crimes in El Salvador like the El Motoze massacre. Later Hugo and I talked about the genocide in Guatemala which Abrams helped facilitate. We also discussed the complex web of people and groups involved in drug trafficking, terrorism, death squads, and the suppression of the poor. We closed out the conversation by looking at the parallels between the 1980’s and the current political environment. We used the current situations in Venezuela and Haiti as examples.
On this special Tuesday Broadcast Pearse Redmond and JP Sottile joined Chuck to do the pre-game show and Live coverage of The State of The Union Address. Both hours are far less painful than the realization that this is a serious look at the alleged leader of the “Free” world.

Abrams response: Personal story lead describes the circumstances of her family and an act of kindness by her father. “I love our country”. Insert her acts of kindness for federal workers recently suffering under the Government shut-down. Overall, more of a yawnfest than one imagined in Chuck’s opinion. Red Meat for progressives though.
Filmmaker Brian Heiss and legendary private investigator Pat McKenna joined me for one final on the OJ Simpson case and trial. We talked mainly about the scientific side of the investigation. We talked about the LAPD’s Scientific Investigation Division which was in charge of all of the DNA evidence. Brian touched on the SID’s incredibly unprofessional and sloppy techniques. We talked about the incredibly high crime rate at the time in LA and the intense pressure the SID was under to deliver results. Pat and Brian focused on criminalists Dennis Fung, Collin Yamauchi, Andrea Mazzola, and Michelle Kessler. We talked about how they routinely contaminated and degraded key pieces of DNA evidence from the beginning of the investigation on June 13, 1994. We also talked about the larger impact that the SID had on the thousands of people sent to jail based on their erroneous tests. Later we talked about the the state of the criminal justice system and the long road ahead towards real reform.
