This week research Jon Gold joined me to talk about some of recent revelations regarding the 9/11 coverup. We started off with some breaking news out of Guantanamo regarding the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and others, and alleged recordings of them speaking about the 9/11 attacks months before they happened. Jon and I discussed the significance of these recordings and why they have been hidden from the public and defense lawyers at the military tribunal. Jon talks about some of the possible government agencies who could have made the recordings and the larger issue of a continued coverup. We also touched on the recent reporting out of Sarasota, Florida regarding Prince Turki al Faisal’s connections to the 9/11 attacks. Jon and I shifted gears a bit and talked about the Mueller Report and Russiagate. We discussed the way the media has obsessed over this story. Jon touched on the journalists who have made a name out of Russiagate and yet turn their backs to issues such as 9/11. Later we touched on Israel and the rise of the right wing in the Middle Eastern country. Jon and I talked about Trump’s recent decision to recognize the stolen Golan Heights as well as the recent focus on AIPAC. We finished off by talking about the recent de-funding of the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. Jon talked about the ongoing health crisis affecting tens of thousands who were exposed to the World Trade Center dust.
On this edition of Parallax Views, Porkins Policy Review’s Pearse Redmond rejoins the show to discuss recent developments in the case of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein (see eps. 29 & 30) and the recent prostitution scandal that ties together New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, seedy-massage-parlor-owner-cum-MAGAhead Cindy Yang, and Donald Trump.
The conversation begins with Pearse and I discussing how the Jeffrey Epstein case has gone mainstream. We talk about the work Pearse as well as previous guest and friend of the show Ed Opperman have done on the case and how it predates the coverage coming out today. We then delve into the recent developments in the sordid saga of Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire pedophile who stands accused of being involved in a human sex trafficking ring, while also refreshing new listeners on some of the basics of this story that illustrates a case study of a one percenter’s disgusting display of power in this New Gilded Age of injustice.
In particular we hone in on the lawsuit that could lead to the unsealing of court documents in the Epstein case. Pearse and I discuss what could be at stake for three of the case’s principal actors in the case: victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre (a teenage runaway who was for Epstein at Trump’s Mar-a-lago), celebrity lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and British socialite (and Epstein’s procurer of young girls) Ghislaine Maxwell. Moreover we examine how Trump’s Labor Secretary, Alexander Acosta, ties into this case. Additionally we also delve into a recent story detailing how Epstein funded Russian model Lana Pozhideva’s “Education Advance” which claims to advocate for “Women’s Empowerment”. Pearse explains how Pozhidaeva’s denials of knowing anything about Epstein seem far-fetched and tells listeners a little bit about the MC2 Modeling Agency in relation to this story.
We then shift our attention to another scandal. Recently, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft found himself embroiled in a prostitution scandal at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. It turns out this massage parlor, which is alleged to be involved in human trafficking was formerly owned by Li Yang aka Cindy Yang. As it turns out Yang has rebranded herself since then as a MAGA supporter who has gained a great deal of access among Trump and Republicans. Pearse discusses both the seedy aspects of these spas as well as how Yang could be a security threat possibly giving access to foreign intelligence and businesses to Trump.
Writer, comedian, and University of Bath teaching fellow, Matthew Alford joined me to discuss his latest book Union Union Jackboot: What Your Media and Professors Don’t Tell You About British Foreign Policy, which we co-authored with TJ Coles. We started off the conversation by discussing the unique structure of the book. Matt and I talked about the perception of British foreign policy we see today in the media. We touch on the brutal legacy the British Empire has had around the world, and take shots at some of the UK’s sacred cows like Winston Churchill. We also discussed why the media, Conservatives, and many in Labour despises Jeremy Corbyn. We talked about the way that Corbyn is perceived, many times incorrectly. Matt also talks about Brexit and why we should never feel sorry for Theresa May. JP Sottile joined me in the first hour to discuss the current political climate and the soon approaching 2020 Presidential election. We talked about the possibility of Trump not running in 2020 and the potential Republicans that might take his place. JP floated the idea of both John Kasich and Nikki Haley running. Later we talked about the seemingly endless list of Democrats lining up to take the nomination. JP and I touch on Kamala Harris, Beto O’Rourke, Mitch Landrieu, John Hickenlooper, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Joe Biden. We discussed the multitude of political problems with these potential candidates, and the shift within the Democratic party. JP also touched on the rise of figures like Ocasio Cortez who may represent the first real step towards true democratic-socialism. We also discussed what the true role of William Barr will be while acting Attorney General and the decline of the Trump wing of the GOP.
In the second hour Robbie Martin joined me to break down one 2020 presidential hopeful, Tulsi Gabbard. Robbie explained how Gabbard is wrongly being trotted out as the anti-war/ anti-interventionist candidate in 2020. Robbie talked about Gabbard’s support of torture and her neoconservative views on terrorism and the War on Terror. We touched on her anti-Muslim Hindu nationalist rhetoric and how that contributes to her hawkish views. Robbie and I also talked about the response from the left which has been to praise Gabbard as some sort of peace loving dove who will stop all the foreign wars. We also touched on the recent moves by the US to overthrow Maduro in Venezuela. Robbie and I talked about Venezuela being a true litmus test for anti-imperialists. We end by talking about Gabbard’s bizarre views on gay rights and what supposedly made her a defender of the LGBTQ community.
JP Sottile joined me in the first hour for our 2018 Midterm Election Special. JP talked about the massive amounts of data coming in regarding this highly contested midterm. We talked about the role of women voters, MeToo, and the side shows like the “Migrant Caravan.” Later JP and I discussed several interesting Senate races including Missouri. JP also talked about Trump’s use of neo-fascist imagery and rhetoric to energize his base.
Ed Opperman joined me for the second hour of the election special. We talked about the broken healthcare system and support for universal healthcare. Ed talked about the watered down socialists and alleged left leaning candidates like Beto O’Rourke and Ocasio Cortez. We discussed whether these politicians are actually making things worse for us. We also touched on Ted Cruz, Curtis Sliwa, and the dangers of iphone’s.
Comedian and activist Sam Spadino joined me this week. We spoke about his latest attempt to ask Donald Trump the simple question, “Who is Jeffrey Epstein”? Sam talked about his arrest at a Trump rally in Rochester, Minnesota. He talked about actually happened and set the record straight. We discussed his time in jail and the the charges brought against him which include resisting arrest and trespassing. Sam also discussed his two conversations with the Secret Service. We touched on the idea that Sam is being monitored, and why Trump is so terrified of people bringing up his relationship with Epstein. Sam also explained why he started yelling Dad as he was being thrown out of the rally.
Later Sam and I talked about the way that many Trump supporters view him as a father figure. We discussed how unhealthy this is, and the effects that it is having on people. We touched on Kanye West’s recent comments about not having a strong male figure in his life. And his desire to have Trump be his daddy. I finish off the show by ranting about Kanye West hanging out with war criminal Yoweri Museveni. I talked about Musevini’s genocide against the Acholi people and how Kanye is not now nor ever will be Tupac.
