Porkins on Sputnik: China Defends 10% Military Budget Increase as ‘Proportionate and Low’

The Chinese government recently announced a near 10% increase in their military budget for 2018. Chinese state media have defended the decision, saying it is part of a modernization program, calling the increase “proportionate and low.”

The increase is the biggest jump in Chinese military spending in recent years. In 2014, the total was $132 billion, which grew to $145 billion in 2015, $147 billion in 2016 and will reach $175 billion next year. Zhang Yesui, a spokesperson for the first annual session of the 13th NPC, explained that the extra money is not to increase China’s overall military capacity, but to update and modernize their armed forces:

“A large part of the growth of the defense budget is to make up for the low military spending in the past and is mainly used to upgrade equipment and improve the welfare of servicemen and women and the living and training conditions of grassroots troops.”

Sputnik spoke to political analyst Pearse Redmond about the geopolitical struggles that are the underlying reasons for China’s consistently growing military expenditure:

“As China becomes more and more integrated in the global economy it understands that maintaining economic superiority requires more security. In Africa, where China has poured vast sums of money into various projects, they have also been quietly building small military bases and developing relationships with various African military and security forces. For example, in Djibouti, once the exclusive military domain of the US, China now operates a naval base adjacent to the Port of Doraleh, which is west of Djibouti City.”

Porkins Policy Radio episode 133 JP Sottile on Kushner and Tariffs, Chuck Ochelli on AFRICOM and China

In the first hour JP Sottile of News Vandal joins me to discuss the latest political machinations in Washington DC. We begin with the latest developments regarding Trump lackey Jared Kushner. JP and I talk about his recent loss of Top Secret security clearance and what this may or may not mean going forward. JP then discusses the latest revelations about Kushner and his ties to both Qatar and the UAE. We talk about the revelation that several countries including China and the UAE saw Kushner as a useful tool in order to get what they wanted out of the United States. We look at the role that Kushner plays within the White House, and his ongoing battle with chief of staff John Kelly. JP and I also touch on the interesting timing of the sanctions against Qatar and his own business deals with the Gulf Nation. Later JP and I explore Trump’s proposed tariff on steal and aluminum imports. We discuss how this ultimately translates into a high tax on the American people who buy Chinese made pots and pans. JP and I talk about how this is yet another attempt to go to war with big bad evil China. We also talk about how everything from cars to the price of beer could dramatically increase. JP also explains how Trump’s proposal will, like most of his policy proposals, never really come to pass the way he wants them.

In the second hour Chuck Ochelli of Ochelli.com joins me for an in-depth discussion of the US military presence in Africa. We start off by discussing a recent report from AFRICOM which stated that there was not proper command approval for the disastrous mission in the Tongo Tongo region of Niger. Chuck and I break down the double speak coming out of AFRICOM. We talk about how AFRICOM is attempting to absolve itself from the deadly raid, while at the same time recommending more and more support for US forces in Africa. Chuck and I also dive into AFRICOM commander Gen. Thomas Waldhauser’s recent testimony before congress on the looming threat of China. We discuss China’s quiet soft colonization, and their quiet construction of military bases in places like Djibouti. We also talk about the growing threat of ISIS and the resurgence of Al Qaeda in West Africa. Chuck and I talk about the recent Al Qaeda attack in Burkina Faso and the theory that the next great conflict may be fought on the African continent. We finish off by touching on China’s plan to build a military base in the Wahkan Corridor in Afghanistan. I talk about China’s fear of political and military insatiably in Northern Afghanistan, and the threat of Uighur groups like ETIM, and how this has led them to take further steps militarily.

The Ochelli Effect: Sibel without Sally Field plus AFRICOM

From Ochelii.com

Friend of the show and fellow radio host Pearse Redmond joins Chuck to tell the story of his involvement and exit from Boiling Frogs Post and NewsBud. How Chuck and Pearse were first introduced was a few years ago when Pearse accompanied author and alternative media figure Sibel Edmonds to The Ochelli Effect during a promotional campaign to raise mony for the now established Newsbud organization. Pearse tells his side of the story about how , when and why he became disenchanted with the organization and it’s head Sibel Edmonds. In a rare two hour discussion on Tuesday Ochelli Effect (Mike Swanson is normally on the first hour) Pearse goes through not only this story but unpacks Niger and the many silent ops and African branch of the alleged “War On Terror”. We even get to examine the latest installment of , “WTF TRUMP” with audio from a current impeach 45 commercial that has suddenly emerged in the MSM and social media universe. Pearse is now a regular contributor to the show but has been a long standing friend and is heard LIVE on American Freedom Radio Tuesdays.

Porkins Policy Radio episode 24 Who is Samantha Lewthwaite?

This week’s episode was a long time in the making, but it is one that I am especially proud of.  I had on Tom Secker and Jon Ryman to discuss Jon’s superb film White Widow- The Samantha Lewthwaite Conspiracy.  I would encourage everyone to go and watch the film first, as there is so much detail that Jon goes into.  The three of us discuss the origins of Samatha Lewthwaite; from her birth in Northern Ireland during the troubles, to her “conversion” to Islam and subsequent betrothal to 7/7 bomber Germain Lindsay, and later to her supposed place of importance with in Al Shabab in Somalia.  We explore the notion that Lewthawaite may not have ever been in Kenya, one of her alleged bases of operations, and instead may be part of a much larger and complex intelligence operations.  We also discuss the Westgate shopping mall attack and how Lewthawaite was erroneously connected to it, as well as the geopolitical implications of the recent uptick in violence in Kenya and the African continent in general.  We round of the conversation with a look at how the War on Terror has blurred fiction and reality.  This is another long podcast that deals with a subject that is little understood and deserves more attention.

The Corbett Report: Pearse Redmond Breaks Down The Neo-imperialism in Africa

CorbettReport_

Pearse Redmond of Porkins Policy Review joins us for the first time to discuss how divide and rule has been used to neo-colonize the continent of Africa. We discuss how America and its allies have sown the seeds of strife, conflict and genocide in many different countries over the years, and the corporate and geopolitical interests that they are serving. We also discuss China’s role in Africa and whether it truly represents a third way.

Porkins Policy Review episode 16 The imperial conquest of Libya with Eric Draitser

On this week’s episode we talk with Eric Draitser of Stopimperialism.com.  We discuss the current reality of Libya as it stands three years after the NATO-led war which destroyed what was once the richest and most prosperous nation in Africa.  Eric and I break apart his recent article entitled “The Secret War in Libya”, which delves into the various developments beginning to take form in the south of the country between the Green Resistance and black Libyan tribes.  Rounding out the conversation is a discussion on the role of AFRICOM and its role in helping to destabilize and colonize Africa.  This is a jam packed podcast with a lot of very important information for anyone concerned about the West’s imperial agenda.

American colonization of Africa rapidly increasing

The colonization of Africa by the Untied States is rapidly increasing. Through the use of AFRICOM, America is turning the continent into one massive military base. From this base the US and other globalist powers (France in particular) will be able to control all of the resources that make Africa so tantalizing. Furthermore, this colonization effort will ensure that the perpetual war on terror never ever ends. With each new effort by AFRICOM to maintain a strangle hold on the continent, more and more Al Qaeda “connected” groups pop up. The fact that these groups only seem to have a presence in nations rich with oil, gold, uranium and other minerals seems to have been overlooked by both corporate and alternative media. If you listen to AFRICOM propagandists their presence is merely to help ensure security and safety in Africa.

The largest and most public acknowledged base in Africa is Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti. This former French base is to be transformed from a modest 20 acre site, to a sprawling 600 acre base, housing 4,000 military personal and civilian contractors. I ask you, do you even have a clue where Djibouti is on a map? Have you any idea of the history of the east African nation? Pray tell, do you have any idea why your tax dollars are being spent $1.2 billion dollar project? No doubt it’s proximity to Somalia factored into this equation. While we’re on the subject, perhaps you should ask yourself why thousands of troops (3,500 to be exact) returning home from Iraq and Afgahistan are now being trained to carry out over 100 missions in Africa this year alone. the short answer to this is to maintain perpetual warfare around the globe. As the war on terror slowly shifts away from central Asia and the middle east a new battle ground must be found. Without this the warfare state and military industrial congressional complex would cease to exist. For the West and their minions this is tantamount to the apocalypse. For their existence to be justified they must engineer conflict and chaos.

The war in the Central African Republic

The latest machination to colonize Africa is taking place in the poor nation known as the Central African Republic. This former French colony has seen perpetual coups, rebels groups, and it’s sovereignty usurped by Weatern powers. Since the recent Western back coup of president Bozizé in March of this year by Seleka rebels, the nation has been taken over by the former leader of the Seleka rebel group Michel Djotodia. Djotodia has since claimed to have dissolved the Seleka rebels, but this has never been the case with African rebel groups. The names of the groups change but their mission of destabilization remains the same. As the situation continues to deteriorate in CAR an international coalition of African and western forces is being formed to take over the nation. On the African side we have US proxy Uganda ready to commit 2,000 troops to a 5,000 troop African Union peace keeping force. On the Western side former colonial master France is intending to commit more troops to help preserve their interests in gold and uranium.

CAR is the perfect place to ramp up the recolonization of Africa. It is nation that most people don’t know exists. This allows for little scrutiny from media outlets. It is also victim to the phony war on terror narrative which pits the Islamic Seleka rebels against CAR Christians. This narrative is always needed to help win over the hearts and minds of the Western public. Most importantly though are the vast reserves of gold, diamonds, and uranium in CAR. With the ensuing collapse of the fiat monetary system, nations such as China, India, and France have been buying and looting gold supply’s of various countries.

I fully understand that this is quite a lot of information to digest. We are talking about multiple countries and agendas that all intersect. But I urge you to pay attention to what is happening in Africa at the moment. With the west conducting proxy wars in Mali, Niger, Libya, Somalia, CAR and a host of other African nations, time must be spent to understand why we are there. When you start to peel back the layers you can begin to understand the control grid that has been placed upon us at the behest of the state, military, and global financial elites. In the coming decades we will see more and more involvement in Africa through militarized conflict. If we don’t begin to understand and fight back against this warfare state we will forever be victims and pawns of a global elite intent on controlling the world.

My conversation with Tom Secker on ClandesTime

I recently had the great honor of talking with Tom Secker on his podcast ClandesTime about the Westgate attack and the evolving war on terror.  Tom is a researcher and film maker, and an all around amazing person.  You can find Tom’s fascinating  work at his websites Investigating the Terror, and Spy Culture.  His Films 7/7: Seeds of Deconstruction and 7/7: Crime and Predjudice are both available on YouTube, and are extremely invaluable sources of information on 7/7, terrorism and topics such as predictive programing.
